A truly wonderful place.
Hemlock hall is situated lakefront. There is a "Lodge" which serves as the dinning room, communal areas with some guest rooms up stairs and on the ground floors. The building is like walking back in time. All owners have prioritized maintaining the status quo with only very thoughtful renovation that is always in keeping with the original design of the lodge. The building is in the rustic Adirondack style; comfortable and relaxed; well maintained with immaculate housekeeping. There are many "out buildings." that also serve as guest quarters. Each spot has its own unique features: Lake view, fireplace, amenities. All are good.

The only trouble is that Hemlock Hall is almost entirely booked more than a year in advance.So plan ahead.

HH is my home away from home. Like myself you will more than likely run into people who have been visiting here for years (This was my 30th w my family). If you are looking for home cooked meals, friendly hospitality, relaxation or even BACON, this place is for you. When it says, the mountains are calling and I must go, for me it's when HH is calling, I must go.
Meals are served family style and interesting conversation always abounds. Most recently we were seated with couple from Texas and another Couple from Australia. There is the world class Adirondack museum just up the road; good for a rainy day. There are many other interesting sites to explore.
Hemlock Hall is the quintessential adirondack vacation experience. It is located on Blue Mountain Lake which is a jewel. It is the perfect and typical Adirondack Lake. The shore is minimally developed. The islands are rugged as they must be for the vegetation to survive the winter. The smell of pine, and granite rock underfoot. The water is clear crisp and refreshing. There is a sand beach, a roped in swimming area Kayaks and Sunfish sailboat.
